Head coach of the Tatarstan men’s volleyball team Alexei Verbov commented on his team’s exit in the final of the Spartakiad of the strongest.
On the eve of Tatarstan defeated Novosibirsk region with the score 3:1. The match took place in Moscow, before Verbov’s team played two matches in Odintsovo.
– We played the first match in this room, there was not even training before. Perhaps this was one of the factors that affected the quality of the game – there were a lot of our own mistakes that weren’t typical for us. We needed time to find our game, little by little. I’m glad the guys came out of a difficult situation with their heads held high,” Verbov said as quoted by Spartakiad’s official website.
One round before the end of the main stage, the Tatarstan team with 6 points secured first place in the table and a ticket to the final.
