“Very busy schedule. Only the second matchday, and we played ten games” — Sirius FT manager on Spartakiad

Head coach of the volleyball team of the Federal Territory “Sirius” Zoran Terzic took up the busy schedule at the start of the tournament as part of the Spartakiad of the strongest.

In the match of the second round, the team of FT “Sirius” in a tense tie-break was stronger than the Kaliningrad region (3:2).

– Very busy game schedule. Only the second day of the match, and we played ten games, and already three players were injured. It is necessary to protect volleyball players from injury. And it can be done in one case – so that all players enter the field and share the load among themselves. The first two games were difficult for us. The team had been preparing for about three weeks – that’s too short a period. But there are also advantages for me as a coach. One can consider the abilities of the players – who fold, who are good in attack, or who can psychologically endure the game in five games at the same level, – Terzic is quoted by the official website of Spartakiad.

— I’m sure the audience liked the game, because five games are always interesting. Unfortunately, we made a lot of mistakes. At the end of the fifth leg, we failed to cope with the reception and could not finish the important balls that were necessary not to let go of the opponent. The fifth installment is still a lottery, we were a bit unlucky. And so, there were many positive moments – both defended and blocked. But there is still a lot of work to be done on the purity of the execution of the elements, – added Irina Filishtinskaya, the binder of the Kaliningrad region team.

In the third round, FT “Sirius” will go to the field against the St. Petersburg team, and Kaliningrad volleyball players will meet the Moscow team.
