The current mentor agreement runs until 2024
Chelsea is negotiating a contract extension with the head coach of the Londoners Thomas Tuchel. The current agreement between the German specialist and the Blues runs until 2024.
“Negotiations are underway. But given that the transfer period is in full swing, I’m focused on my team and their competitiveness.”
“My reps talk to the club owners and take care of everything else. I really like the team, so everything is going well,” said the Chelsea head coach.
Thomas Tuchel joined Chelsea in the winter of 2021 and led Londoners to the Champions League title that same season. Chelsea finished 3rd in the Premier League last season.
On the eve of the German specialist received a one-match ban for a skirmish with Tottenham manager Antonio Conte after the match of the 2nd round of the Premier League. In addition, Tuchel and Conte suffered financial penalties. The Blues coach has been fined £35,000 and the Spurs head coach has to pay £15,000.
In the next round of the Premier League, Chelsea will play away against Leeds on August 21.
