Joshua explained his behavior in the ring after losing to Usyk

The Briton wants to show his best side.

On Saturday, August 20, in Saudi Arabia in Jeddah at the Super Dome arena, a boxing evening took place from the promotional company Matchroom Boxing, where the main fight was the long-awaited rematch between Alexander Usik and Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian boxer won by split decision (115-113, 113-115, 116-112).

After the announcement of the results, the Briton made a speech in which he summed up the battle, but he did it quite aggressively and emotionally.

“I don’t feel anything, but deep down I’m upset. I’m angry with myself. Not with others, just with myself. So I thought I’d leave, because I get angry and I do stupid things. But I seem to realize that it’s a sport and you have to do the right thing.

Back in the ring, I spoke from the bottom of my heart. It is difficult. You see Anthony is not a cheater. I always try to work hard, keep everything under control, and my team is the best. We will pay a lot, but it will never break me. You have to have real strength not to break.”

“However, there is a gap in this armor, because I lost. I think you can see how angry I am. I am a fighter. I am not an ordinary person, although I try to restrain myself. When I spoke in the ring , I was just in war mode,” Joshua said in a press conference.
