Not all volleyball teams withstood the intensive match schedule of Spartakiad, the tournament turned out to be very difficult, said the blocking team of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Volkov .
On Sunday, the Tatarstan men’s team defeated the St. Petersburg team 3-0 in the final of the Spartakiad volleyball tournament. The teams of the finalists consisted of players from two “Zeniths” – Kazan and St. Petersburg.
– The importance of the Spartakiad is not for us to determine, our task is to play. And the tournament was very difficult and not all teams survived to the end. We have good squad depth and the coach has given everyone the opportunity to play. So thank God we reached the final in good condition, in good shape, we weren’t tortured by the training process. And the result is natural.
– Was it more difficult to play without two legionnaires?
– Not all Spartakiad teams had legionnaires, so all teams are now on the same terms.
