Joshua graciously addressed Usyk after losing the rematch

The Briton congratulated the Ukrainian on his victory in the confrontation.

On Saturday, August 20, in Saudi Arabia in Jeddah at the Super Dome arena, a boxing evening took place from the promotional company Matchroom Boxing, where the main fight was the long-awaited rematch between Alexander Usik and Anthony Joshua. Our champion was able to win the rematch by split decision.

The British boxer published a post on Instagram, in which he apologized to Usyk and congratulated him on his victory.

“I wish Oleksandr Usyk continued success in his quest for greatness. You are a great champion. Yesterday, psychologically I had to dive into a dark place to fight for championship belts! I had two fights – one to Usyk, and the second to my emotions. And I lost both.”

“I am the first to admit that I let myself down. I acted out of passion and emotions only. When I was not in control, it was not good. I love this sport very much and from now on I will be better. Respect,” he wrote by Joshua on Instagram.
