President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation Alexander Gorshkov in a conversation with , he clarified the situation with additional test skates for juniors.

On Wednesday, Gorshkov informed the “Championship” about holding another junior. At the same time, the general director of the federation, Alexander Kogan, in an interview with RIA Novosti Sport, said that there will be no second test skates, but “an event that is not called test pads” is planned.

– Again, the noise rises from zero. I already explained that we always hold the junior skates in August, because the ISU Grand Prix always starts that month. In the same year, due to the suspension of our junior athletes, the internal competitions will take place almost simultaneously with the adult stages of the Russian Grand Prix. They start at the end of October. For this reason, it was decided to organize a rental again for the guys to examine their readiness. These will not be competitions, we will simply assess the athletes’ preparation for the season.

During these skates, the experts will once again examine the technical equipment of the skaters, their functional preparation. This event can be called whatever you want. In general, it will be another training camp for the national team. Coaches already know this.
