Rizaev spoke about his participation in the BMX Freestyle World Cup in Belgium

World cup winner Irek Rizaev spoke about his participation in international competitions in Belgium in a neutral status.

Russians can participate in neutral status in foreign starts under the auspices of the International Cycling Union (UCI) with the authorization of the tournament’s organizing committee.

How’s the season going? I know that you have taken part in foreign competitions.

– I went to the World Cup in Belgium, in Brussels. My friends were all very happy to see me. He played in a neutral status, as provided by the UCI regulations.

– Were you satisfied with the news that the UCI will close the classification in the spring of 2024?

– Good news in terms of selection for the Olympics, but, if I understand correctly, there will still be clarifications. But in general, yes, it’s fine, because there will be three selection options. In addition, the number of participants has been expanded – there are now twelve. This makes me happy.

– I guess there have been competitions in which you have been refused.

– It’s true. I was not allowed in the first stage of the World Cup in Montpellier. As far as I know, they tried to let me go on these departures, but the local authorities decided otherwise.
