St. Petersburg women’s team won the relay in Spartakiad, Volgograd swimmers took the entire podium in the 1500-meter freestyle

The St. Petersburg women’s team won the 4×100 m freestyle relay at the All-Russian Olympics of Summer Sports among the strongest athletes in 2022.

Daria Ustinova, Vlada Eggi, Daria Tatarinova and Yana Shakirova were part of the Saint Petersburg team with a time of 3:43.60. Silver went to the Moscow team (Daria Mullakaeva, Anastasia Zhuravleva, Varvara Chemisova, Anna Komarova, 3:45.64), bronze was won by Anastasia Duplinskaya, Victoria Starostina, Anita Grishchenko, Daria Trofimova from the region of Novosibirsk (3:47.60).

Ilya Borodin (4:11.81) of Bryansk Oblast won the men’s 400m individual medley final, followed by Maksim Stupin of Moscow (4:13.60) and Artem Vorobyov of Saratov Oblast finished third (4:24.16).

In the strongest swim among women in the 1500 m freestyle, the entire podium was occupied by representatives of the Volgograd region: Yana Kurtseva (16:33.49) finished first, Margarita Ershova (16:34.67) became the second, Polina Kozyakina (16:35.21) closed the top three.

Swimming competitions as part of the Spartakiad will end on Friday, August 26.
