Swimmer Minakov supported Borodin in swimming at the Spartakiad by printing a portrait of the athlete

swimming world championships Andrei Minakov supported teammate Ilya Borodin during a swim at the Spartakiad of the strongest, by printing the portrait of an athlete and a photo of his trainer Marina Svistak.

Borodin won the 400m medley at St. Petersburg competitions, showing the result of 4 minutes 11.81 seconds.

– In the United States they often do this – they print pictures, cut off heads and accompany them to the stands. I looked and decided to do it. Nobody does that with us, but I like to be the first. Ilya is one of my closest friends in the national team, the undisputed leader in the 400m medley in the team. We are also very good friends with his trainer. I bought cardboard, printed a picture in a special publishing house, glued it on PVA.

– Did the publishing house know whose portraits it was printing?

– No Unfortunately. Hopefully one day we will bring pictures of swimmers to publishing houses and they will recognize them,” Minakov said.

The All-Russian competition for summer sports among the strongest athletes in 2022 will end on October 2.
