Gutzeit: We are working to ensure that Ukraine wins the 2024 Olympics

Competitions resume in Ukraine

Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadim Gutzeit announced the continuation of work on the resumption of all-Ukrainian competitions. Gutzeit focused on the training of athletes who represent Ukraine in Olympic sports.

“We are resuming all-Ukrainian competitions in various sports. We do everything so that our athletes continue to prepare and win. We have the Olympic Games in Paris ahead of us. We are working to ensure that our anthem is heard there, so that our athletes rise to the podium.”

“Since the beginning of the year, more than 1,500 medals have been won. In such a difficult time, all athletes are very motivated and determined to win. They succeed.”

“Russians and Belarusians should not be in sports arenas. They really want to climb, but we are working and will continue to work so that we do not see Russian and Belarusian athletes at the competitions.”

Earlier it was reported that the 2024 Olympic Games could be held without the participation of teams from Russia and Belarus. At the same time, the ban will not apply to cycling, tennis and judo, where athletes can receive admission on an individual basis.

The 2024 Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Los Angeles will host the next Olympics in 2028.
