Athletistic/ Others. The acting president of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA), Irina Privalova, reacted quite strongly to criticism of the sports system in Russia by a number of athletes.
– Let me remind you that at state expense, athletes live all year round in Adler, Sochi, Kislovodsk. Their country feeds and waters itself. Perhaps, to those who complain, to remind you, what is our average salary in the country? I think it’s even embarrassing to talk about it. We should be grateful for what we have. This is my position, – said Privalova, whose words leads R-Sport.
Privalova also commented on the words of Maria Lasitskene, who in one of her last interviews expressed her dissatisfaction with the insufficient work ARAF is doing with other national federations.
– I don’t think VFLA can help in any way here. The federation helps to achieve a neutral status. And then it is the job of personal managers to organize the participation of athletes in competitions, Privalova stressed.
