Privalova spoke about the equipment situation for Russian athletes

Acting President of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) Irina Privalova in an interview with , she clarified the situation with the outfit and equipment of Russian athletes.

On March 1, 2022, the World Athletics Association (World Athletics) banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in international competitions. The All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) has been stripped of its World Athletics membership since 2015 due to a large-scale doping scandal. From then on, Russian athletes could participate in international competitions only after obtaining neutral status.

– Now foreign companies are leaving the market, this also applies to sports. Hockey players are already experiencing equipment problems. Will his quality also decline in athletics?

– Yes, he will. But mentally we are ready for it. Now we will continue to exist on old stocks, then we will decide.

As for the clothes, there are no problems with them – they are of quite good quality. Safety shoes are still made in China – we will be looking for new suppliers.

As for blocks, barriers, exercise machines, we need to increase our production. There is nowhere to go, the whole country is in this position. In the USSR, we had everything to ourselves, then we lost it. Now we have to restore.
