“Now officially Polish,” the athlete wrote.

At the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo (Japan), which took place in the summer of 2021, Timanovskaya became a participant in a scandalous story. She was supposed to perform in the 100 and 200 m. Already in Japan, the runner was included in the 4×400 m relay. On social networks, the athlete was outraged by the unexpected decision of the coach, because she did not is not specialized in this distance.

As a result, they tried to send her back to her native country, withdrawing her application to participate in the Games. The IOC took control of the situation. After the incident, Timanovskaya received a humanitarian visa for Poland.
