“I didn’t listen to Spartakiad, I didn’t like the concept – there are not all the strongest” – Tyshchenko

World Track Cycling Championship winner Yana Tyshchenko said she didn’t like the rules of the Strongest Spartakiad, in which not all truly strong athletes can compete.

Tyshchenko became the third in the sprint at these competitions.

– Initially, I was not tuned into the Spartakiad, I didn’t really like the concept – only two girls from the same region can compete in one discipline. There are at least five worthy athletes in Moscow. The competition is not big anyway, and people get swept away like that,” Tyshchenko told . – It would be cooler if all the strongest could play.

Is the season empty?

— This is my seventh departure. So I wouldn’t say that.

– But it’s like Groundhog Day – the same rivals.

– The rivals are the same, but the locations change, the status too. I think it is also good for further preparation.

– You are not attracted by other teams?

– Such proposals have not been received, but even if they do, I am not ready to part with my friends, the coach.
