Three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov said he was confident of admitting Russian skiers to the World Cup in 2023.
In July, the International Ski Federation (FIS) extended the suspension of Russian athletes from competitions under its auspices until the end of the summer season. There is no decision yet for the winter season.
– Of course, for us, the main departures are the international departures, the world championships. This is where you have to compete.
– Yulia Stupak said there is confidence that we will go to the 2023 World Cup. And you?
– I’m sure too. I hope it will be like that. Time will tell,” Bolshunov told reporters.
The Slovenian Planica World Championship will be held from February 21 to March 5, 2023.
