The functionary noted the financial demands of the “Gypsy King”.
The head of the Matchroom Boxing promotional company, Eddie Hearn, shared his opinion about a possible fight between WBC heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury and WBA, WBO and IBF world champion in the same weight category Oleksandr Usyk.
According to the functionary, the British boxer will refuse to fight, because no one will pay him the requested half a billion.
“There’s a lot of money at stake. The Middle East has always wanted to fight for the undisputed heavyweight title. What does Fury want? Half a billion? I’m not sure he’s going to do it. If Fury is a man of his word, which is very doubtful, then half a billion or he won’t fight.”

“Fury is not negotiating with any government in the Middle East. He alone sets the price and said he will not fight if they offer him less,” Boxing News 24 quoted Hearn as saying.
It was previously known when and where Usyk-Fury might take place.
