Krastins: We are looking for an antidote against the leader of the Netherlands. Already found something, but how it will turn out is another question.

Head coach of the Ukrainian men’s volleyball team Ugis Krastinsh commented on the upcoming match 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup against Netherlands.

“We are now playing with the Dutch. This is a very balanced team. The clear leader of their team is Abdil Aziz. The most productive player of the championship. The team earns almost all the points on his serve. All difficult balls are played through it. And he does it well. Experienced, plays leading roles in his club. Looking for an antidote. We have already found something, but how it will turn out is another question. But we have a game plan against him.”

On Monday, September 5, Ukraine will play in the 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup against the Netherlands. The game will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The start is at 18:30.

In case of victory over the Netherlands, the Ukrainian team in the quarterfinals of the World Cup will go to Slovenia. The latter in their match of the 1/8 finals defeated the German team in four sets.
