According to the Valasz Online edition, some Hungarian athletes are unhappy with the naturalization of Russians, because of which they lose their place in the team. Russian Polina Dzhumaniyazova notably joined the junior group this season.
Parents of Papp, 14, said she currently has offers to join three national teams.
“I had great results, but soon a Russian woman was brought here.
I will go where I am expected and appreciated. My beautiful country doesn’t need me,” Papp wrote on social media.
