Alvarez really wants to see a fight for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion of the world
Undisputed World Super Middleweight Champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez looking forward to the undisputed heavyweight title fight between the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO belt holder Oleksandr Usyk and WBC champion Tyson Fury. Canelo favors the Brit in this showdown.
“Usyk is a really great fighter, I have been watching him for a very long time. He has a lot of skills. But I think Fury has it all, weight, boxing skills. I think it will be difficult for Usyk.”
Last month, the Ukrainian beat Britain’s Anthony Joshua in twelve rounds by split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
Immediately after the victory in a rematch over Joshua Usyk called out WBC champion Tyson Fury to fight. In turn, the Gypsy King demands $500 million for a unification fight with Usyk.
Usyk also said that he was primarily interested in a duel with Fury. According to the Ukrainian, there is no longer any interest in boxing with any other athlete.
Recently, Fury reached out to Anthony Joshua twice via social media and offered him a face-to-face fight. Tyson also stressed that he was ready to provide a chance for Anthony to take possession of the WBC belt.
Canelo is preparing for a third fight with Kazakh boxer Gennady Golovkin for the title of undisputed world champion in the second middleweight division. The fight will take place in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena on September 17th.
