Duo of figure skaters Daria Pavlyuchenko and Denis Khodykin told reporters his impressions of the performance of the free program during the skate tests in Moscow.
The trial skates take place on September 24 and 25.
Khodykin: In terms of hindsight, they rode like in the Russian Championship. We weren’t ready with the elements, we wanted to show the choreography. We realized that we could ride like that. We wanted to ride with so much emotion before. We understood that the program would be refreshed.
Pavlyuchenko: I want to be real artists on ice, not fake ones.
Khodykin: We were given technical instructions after a short. We see what we want to change in the program. Yesterday we showed the foundation. Then you need to build a nice building. We put the program exclusively for the viewer.
Pavlyuchenko: We were told there was huge potential. It needs to be improved and it will be great.
Khodykin: It was only at the last press that I felt that I had no more strength. A support will be redone. Let’s see what’s going on in the music.
Pavlyuchenko: Are we planning to change the free program? I think time will tell. So far, we like this free program, but you never know what will come to mind, what you will wake up to in the morning.
Khodykin: Short of last year, we have fully disclosed. But the arbitrariness is not to the end. We have now shown where we want to go and how we want to show this number further.
