A participant in the 10 km race as part of the Alma-Ata marathon died after finishing

In Kazakhstan, marathon participant Alma-Ata, Rustem Sadykov, 47, died after finishing, according to the contest’s website.

Sadykov, who ran 10 km, fell a few meters after crossing the finish line.

“We immediately started helping him. At first the heart was able to start, a sinus rhythm appeared, and two minutes later the heart stopped again. CPR continued for 30 minutes, the last 10 minutes in the ambulance. And at 10:15 a.m. we pronounced dead. The official reason can only be given after a forensic examination, said competition chief medical officer Orazbek Sakhov.

It is reported that Sadykov had already taken part in running competitions several times.
