Russians and Belarusians must remain isolated from international sports. The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Gutzeit wrote about it again on his page.
The official also once again thanked the world sports community for supporting Ukraine in difficult times and sanctions against aggressor countries.
“Scandinavian sports organizations declared their clear position regarding the non-acceptance of the return of Russians and Belarusians to international sports at Norway’s annual meeting in Oslo. As long as the aggression against Ukraine continues, the issue of their return is not even negotiable.
The Northern Olympic Committees, Paralympic Committees and sports confederations called on the Olympic, Paralympic Movement and all international sports organizations to continue to show solidarity with the Ukrainian people and ask for peace, supported the recommendations to stop the Russian and Belarusian Ukraine to participate in international sports as a gross violation of international law.
Thank you for your support and commitment! This is important for us. Representatives of aggressor countries must remain isolated from international sports!” Gutzeit wrote.
Recall that earlier the IBU extended the disqualification of Russian and Belarusian biathletes.
