Stanislav Kovalev and Dmitry Khmara won bronze
Para rowers Svetlana Boguslavskaya and Yaroslav Koyuda have brought Ukraine first gold at the 2022 World Rowing Championships in Racice, Czech Republic.
Athletes won the mixed doubles competition in the PR2 category. The Ukrainians were two seconds ahead of a couple from Poland and four seconds ahead of the French duet.
Ukraine won another award on the penultimate day of the competition. Bronze was won by the crew Stanislav Kovalev and Dmitry Khmara in lightweight doubles competition.
In total, Ukrainian athletes have five medals. Recall that the day before, three bronze medals were won by Anna Aisanova (single PR2), Andrey Sivykh and Dmitry Kherez (double swing doubles in the PR3 class), as well as Daria Kotik and Stanislav Samolyuk (mixed doubles PR3).
On Sunday, September 25, the final day of the 2022 World Championships will take place.
