Olga Kokorina, multiple champion and world record holder in the Masters category, will be inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF).
Kokorina died on January 29 this year in the 99th year of her life.
She began international competition in the masters category in 1998. Over the course of her performances, she set more than 30 world records and 120 Russian records. In the FINA Honor Book, Kokorina’s name is mentioned 21 times.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which will take place on October 15, will be hosted by Olympic champion Dara Torres (USA), reports Swimming World Magazine.
