“After the Olympics, skating became psychologically easier” – figure skater Tarasova

Skaters performing pair skating Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov told reporters that after the Beijing Olympics, it is psychologically easier for them to compete.

Earlier on Sunday, the duo presented their free program at the box office test in Moscow. The couple won Olympic silver twice.

Morozov: We are happy that the audience liked it. It was the most important thing. At this stage it was good. We will have to finish the preparation when there is not enough physics in the two programs. We have time before the first steps. That’s what we’re going to do. Almost everything worked today. We know in advance what stages we are going to. After the rentals, it will finally become clear.

Tarasova: We like free skate costumes, we won’t change them. Only if they break. I can say that psychologically, it became easier for us to skate after the Olympics.

Morozov: For the moment, we think we made the right choice by leaving the free program last year. There was no plan to make things easier. I wanted to leave a program after the Olympics to skate more. We decided to leave it arbitrary. The technical details were clarified by the experts for a short time. They liked the program as a whole. There are comments, but not many. At first glance, the coaches are happy with what we showed today. We will find out what it really is on Monday or Tuesday.
