Athletistic/ Figure Skating. USSR Honored Figure Skating Coach Tatyana Tarasova has responded to criticism from Russian figure skaters Kamila Valieva and Alexandra Trusova for their performances during the Russian national team’s trial skates.
“Now nobody is physically ready yet. And Camila is not ready. Why should they be ready to do all the quads in September? We watched programs, not jumps. They did the maximum that they can today. If someone is not satisfied, you can leave the room,” Tarasova said.
Kamila Valieva presented a new short program on September 24, and a new free program on September 25. Alexandra Trusova performed a short program on September 24, after which she announced her retirement from trial skates due to back problems.
