Klishina admitted that she is the mother of two children. Previously, we knew a son of an athlete

russian athlete Daria Klishina speaking in the long jump, admitted that she is the mother of two sons.

On June 28, the 31-year-old athlete announced the birth of her son.

– After the Tokyo Olympics, did you plan a pregnancy? Have you thought about continuing to train?

– The Tokyo Olympics were supposed to take place in 2020, but due to the pandemic, they were postponed for a year. And then I had no doubt that I needed to take a break for the birth of a child. There was no intention to train after the Games, I understood that I had to save time for my family. The Olympic cycle was difficult. It took a lot of effort to endure the long training camps I went to during training. My husband and my son, now the eldest, helped me, allowed me to fully train. But after Tokyo, I decided it was time to be a mom.

– But your eldest son was born 4 years ago. And hardly anyone knew about it.

I’m a pretty private person and I never advertise my personal life. In 2017, after the world championships in London, where I won silver, I planned to have a baby. Everything went well and in 2018 my first child was born. But I didn’t have maternity leave. Plans called for a quick recovery and a return to the industry, as the toughest Olympic season was ahead. And I started jumping already 8 months after giving birth, ”Klishina said in an interview with the magazine of the All-Russian Athletics Federation.

Klishina has twice won European Indoor Championship gold (2011, 2013), won European Team Championship gold (2015) and won the Universiade (2013).
