sport.Fr/Other. Veronika Loginova, Director General of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA), has responded to accusations of failure to comply with the requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code and international standards in the US investigation into the doping case of figure skater Kamila Valieva .

Recall that after the team tournament at the Beijing Olympics, information appeared that on December 25, 2021, the figure skater passed a positive doping test. At the time of the doping controls, Valieva was 15 years old, which gives her the status of “protected person” within the meaning of the anti-doping code.

Later, the head of the US National Olympic Committee, Sarah Hirshland, expressed doubts about the honesty of the investigation into the case of the athlete RUSADA.

“In its work, RUSADA strictly follows the provisions of regulatory documents, namely the requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code and international standards, which indicate the need for a confidential investigation. I would again like to draw attention to the fact that the athlete is a protected person and that other comments on the investigation process not only violate the rights of the athlete, but also hinder the investigation, taking account the principles of privacy and efficiency,” RIA Novosti quotes Loginova.
