Budgets were not to exceed $145 million
Formula One Guide found only “minor” violations in the budgets of the teams for this season. Nobody will not be punished by deduction of points. First of all Red Bullwhich was suspected of exceeding the budget.
Mercedes and Ferrari accused Red Bull of causing the Bulls to substantially overrun 2021 spending. Budgets were to be no more than $145 million per season.
Formula 1 analyzed the budgets of all teams and found no serious violations. Recall that the teams were threatened with the removal of points in the Constructors’ Championship if the costs exceeded the limit by at least 5%.
In the overall standings of the 2022 season, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is leading, who is ahead of Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) by 104 points. Verstappen could win title at Japanese Grand Prix
