The structure of Red Bull agreed to terminate the agreement of the rider ahead of schedule
Racer Alpha Tauri Pierre Gasly signed a multi-year contract with Alpin. The Frenchman will play in the new team from 2023.
The 26-year-old pilot has previously extended his agreement with Alpha Tauri for the 2023 season. However, Red Bull, in whose structure Pierre spent nine years, agreed to let the rider go earlier.
As part of Alpin Gasly will replace the two-time world champion Fernando Alonso, who at the end of the current season will move to Aston Martin. Thus, the French team will have two French pilots, including Esteban Ocon.
This season, Gasly is in 13th position in the Royal races, gaining 23 points. Reigning champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull is in the lead.
