Russian rider from the Hezeberg team Daniel Kvyat failed to complete his third career NASCAR Cup Series race.
Kvyat’s car had engine trouble, the driver entered the pits on lap 17 and then retired.
Kvyat’s NASCAR debut came on July 31 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and then the Russian didn’t finish either. At Watkins Glen on August 21, in his second NASCAR race, Kvyat finished 36th.
Kvyat, 28, raced in Formula 1 for Red Bull and Alfa Tauri (formerly Toro Rosso) in 2014-17 and 2019-20. Currently, he is the most successful participant in the Russian championship, he has three podiums to his name, the best result in the individual standings is seventh place in 2015.
