The W Series Women’s Formula Championship canceled the last three races of the season due to a lack of funding

The last three races of the W Series Women’s Formula Championship of the 2022 season will not take place due to lack of funding, reports the competition’s press office.

The organizers canceled the race at the Austin circuit (Texas, USA), which was to take place on October 21-22, as well as a double start in Mexico City (Mexico), scheduled for October 28-30.

“The necessary funding has not been received, which casts doubt on the remaining three races on the 2022 calendar.

The decision was made to focus on a longer term fundraising process to ensure the financial sustainability of the 2023 W Series.

Thus, the winner of the 2022 season was the Briton Jamie Chadwick, who won the title for the third time in her career.
