Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitri Chernychenko fulfilled the dream of Alexei Smorodov from the Chelyabinsk region, who participated in the project “Wish Tree”, inviting him to the final stage of the Russian Drift Series in Sochi.
Alexey Smorodov has always dreamed of visiting Formula 1. Despite the cancellation of the Russian Grand Prix, the young man’s wish came true. Alexei and his family flew to Sochi for the final round of the Russian Drift Series and attended the races at Sochi Autodrom.
– We tried to do everything so that, despite the restrictions, Alexei’s dream came true as accurately as possible. Together with their mother and sister, they spent several wonderful days in Sochi, made trips to the Olympic Park in Krasnaya Polyana, watched races at Russian motorsport competitions, talked to prominent drivers and took their autographs. I am sure that Alexey and his family received unforgettable emotions and vivid impressions from this trip. I hope the young man will achieve another of his dreams and become a heart surgeon. We will support him in achieving this goal,” Chernyshenko told the deputy prime minister’s press service.
“We are happy that Lesha Smorodov and his family visited the Sochi Autodrom, got new impressions, got inspired by the atmosphere of motorsport,” added Alexei Titov, General Director of ANO ROSGONKI. – It was nice to see the burning eyes and sincere emotions of Alexei and his family, who experienced these joyful moments with him.
The Wishing Tree charity event is organized by the Dream with Me project. It aims to ensure that children with disabilities, as well as children left without parental care or from families in need, can feel the holiday atmosphere and realize their dream. During its existence, more than 21,000 wishes have been granted. Personal participation in the action is taken by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
