Leclerc to lose 10 start positions due to penalty
Ferrari pilot Carlos Sainz won US Grand Prix qualification. This is the third pole in the career of the Spaniard in Formula 1.
The second result at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin was shown by Sainz’s partner Charles Leclerc. The first three were closed by the pilot of Red Bull and the winner of this season Max Verstappen.
Note that Leclerc on the grid at the US Grand Prix will lose ten positions for the replacement of the engine and turbine. In addition, Guanyu Zhou (Alfa Romeo), Sergio Perez (Red Bull) and Fernando Alonso (Alpin) will lose five positions at the start.
In the overall standings, Verstappen is already out of reach for competitors. He is 113 points ahead of Perez. The US Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, October 23rd. Start – at 22:00 Kyiv time.
