Max broke the record of Schumacher and Vettel for the most wins in one season
Pilot Red Bull Max Verstappen won Mexican Grand Prix and installed new Formula 1 record by the number of wins in one season.
Today’s triumph was the 14th for Verstappen in the 2022 season. The Dutchman broke the record Michael Schumacher (Ferrari, 2004 season) and Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull, 2013 season), who won 13 Grand Prix in one year.
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) finished second at the Mexican Grand Prix. The third was the driver of Red Bull Sergio Perez, the fourth – George Russell (Mercedes). Ferrari drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc finished fifth and sixth respectively.
Also finishing in the top 10 were Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren), Esteban Ocon (Alpin), Lando Norris (McLaren) and Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo).
In early October, Verstappen became the champion of the Formula 1 season 2022 ahead of schedule. Max won the title for the second time in a row. Red Bull won the Constructors’ Championship.
Before the end of the 2022 season in Formula 1, there are two Grand Prix left. The next race will take place on November 13 in Brazil.
