Belgian racing driver Stoffel Vandoorne become a reserve pilot Aston Martin in the 2023 season.
The Belgian became the champion of the Formula E season 2021/22. Vandorn won one race and was on the podium 8 times in the 16 grand prix of the season.
Vandoorne has previously competed in Formula 1. In 2017-18 he drove McLaren and was a teammate of Fernando Alonso, with whom he will also work at Aston Martin.
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen became the champion of Formula 1 in 2022 ahead of schedule. Aston Martin is in seventh place in the Constructors’ Championship.
