2023 Chinese Grand Prix canceled due to coronavirus pandemic

Looking for a new stage

Chinese Grand Prix Formula 1 in 2023 canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Stage in Shanghai was supposed to be the fourth in the previously published calendar of the season. However, due to the next outbreak of COVID-19 and the tightening of anti-coronavirus measures, it was decided to cancel the stage.

Formula 1 is already looking for a replacement for the Chinese Grand Prix. This may be the race in Portugal, which previously hosted two stages in the Algarve.

There is also an option in which the management of the organization will reduce the season to 23 stages. At the same time, the holding of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be shifted by one week.

Recall that two new stages will be added to the new championship – the Miami Grand Prix and the Qatar Grand Prix. In addition, the French Grand Prix, which this year took place on Paul Ricard, is missing from the calendar.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is the 2022 Formula 1 Champion. The Dutch team also won the Constructors’ Championship.
