Formula 1 bans drivers from making political statements

International Automobile Federation (FIA) banned Formula 1 drivers from making political statements.

The FIA ​​also announced a ban on religious statements for team representatives and pilots. Now all applications must be agreed with the leadership of the FIA.

Recall that the pilot Aston Martin Sebastian Vettel said earlier that Formula 1 should help Ukrainians more with money. According to the German racer, “Russians are killing innocent people.”

Aston Martin also organized a charity auction in support of Ukraine. Lots include a racing suit, as well as gloves from Sebastian Vettel, who spent his last season in the Royal Races in 2022.

Formula 1 terminated contracts for showing races in Russia and hosting the Russian Grand Prix. In addition, the Haas team announced the termination of the contract with the title sponsor Uralkali and Russian pilot Nikita Mazepin.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is the 2022 F1 Champion. His team also won the Constructors’ Championship.

The upcoming championship will have 23 stages – there will be no Chinese Grand Prix. The season will start with a race in Bahrain on March 5th. The 2023 championship will end with a stage in Abu Dhabi on November 23.
