Formula 1 management have entered preliminary negotiations with the organizers of the Chinese Grand Prix over the return of the stage to the calendar for the 2023 season, according to autosport.com.
The Chinese Grand Prix has been included in the provisional calendar for the 2023 season and was due to take place from April 14-16. In early December, F-1 announced that the leg was canceled due to difficulties caused by the situation with the coronavirus.
However, at the end of last year, the Chinese authorities announced that they would lift the quarantine for travelers arriving in the country from January 8. The organizers have already contacted the Formula 1 management and will resume contact after the New Year holidays.
In 2020 the Chinese Grand Prix was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, in 2021 and 2022 it was not included in the calendar.
In September, it was announced that 24 Formula 1 races would take place in 2023, with the first of these taking place from March 3-5 in Bahrain.
