American racing driver Ken Block has died at the age of 55, according to the Hoonigan Racing team’s press service.
Block died following a fall from a snowmobile, the pilot lost control. The crash happened in Wasatch County, Utah. The snowmobile rolled over and landed on the man. Block died at the scene from his injuries.
“Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And above all, father and husband. He will be greatly missed,” the team said in a statement.
Block began his career in 2005 and was a founding member of DC Shoes.
