french driver Sebastien Loeb became the winner of the ninth stage of the Dakar rally marathon in the category of touring cars.
Loeb completed the 358 km special in 3 hours 7 minutes and 24 seconds. Second place went to Vaidotas Zala of Teltonika Racing (+0.57), third to Guerlain Shisheri (BRX, +2.08).
In absolute terms, Nasser Al-Attiyah is in the lead at Toyota.
Luciano Benavidez in a Husqvarna finished first in the drivers’ standings in 3 hours 18 minutes and 44 seconds. Second place went to Toby Price on KTM (+1.02), third to Skyler Howes (Husqvarna, +2.57).
Yamaha’s Laisvydas Kancius took first place in the ATV discipline. Dragon’s Francisco Moreno Flores was second and Marcelo Medeiros (Taguator Racing Team) third.
In trucks, Janus Van Kasteren won, Pascal de Baar and Jaroslav Waltr completed the top three. Alesh Loprais remains the leader of the classification, Van Kasteren loses him 26 minutes 54 seconds.
The Dakar takes place in Saudi Arabia and ends on January 15.
