The winner of the tenth stage of the Dakar marathon rally in the truck category was Pascal DeBar from the Netherlands from the Riwald Dakar team.
His time on the special is 2 hours 9 minutes 46 seconds. On the eve of the race, the leading crew of Instaforex Loprais Praga, driven by Alyoš Loprais, left the race, this happened after the crew fatally hit a fan on the 9th stage.
Iveco’s Mitcheo van den Brink finished second (+0.22). The crew of Janus van Kasteren from the Netherlands (Boss Machinery Team De Rooy) arrived third at the finish line of stage 10, 1 minute 12 seconds behind the winner. Frenchman Adrien van Beveren (Honda) took second place, 21 seconds behind the winner. Third was Michael Doherty (Husqvarna), who lost 30 seconds to Branch. Argentinian Kevin Benavidez (KTM) leads the general classification, 1 minute 29 seconds behind American Skyler Howes (Husqvarna).
In quad, the Brazilian Marcelo Medeiros (Taguatur Racing Team) celebrated the victory in the tenth stage. His time on the special is 2 hours 4 minutes 28 seconds. Argentinian Manuel Andujar (Team 7240) was 1 minute 8 seconds behind him. Third place went to Chilean Giovanni Enrico (Enrico Racing), who was 2 minutes 55 seconds behind the winner.
In the touring car category, the crew of Frenchman Sébastien Loeb (Bahrain Raid Xtreme) finished first in the 10th stage – 1 hour 48 minutes 32 seconds. Matthias Ekström from Sweden (Team Audi Sport) came second, 3 minutes 4 seconds behind the winner. Brazilian Lucas Moraes (Overdrive Racing) finished third, 5 minutes 22 seconds behind Loeb.
Spaniard Gerard Farres Güell (1:58.22) of the Can-am Factory South Racing team excelled in mountain bike competition on the 10th stage. Poland’s Marek Gochal (+0.55) finished second, while his compatriot Erik Gochal (+1.08) was third. Both represent the Energylandia Rally Team. The crew of Saudi Yasser Seidan and Russian sailor Alexei Kuzmich, flying the flag of the United Arab Emirates, finished eighth (+4.47).
