Argentinian Kevin Benavidez, who plays for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, won the 2023 Dakar Rally marathon, which was held in Saudi Arabia.
The Argentine’s total time for 14 stages was 44 hours 27 minutes 20 seconds. Second place was taken by Toby Price (+0.43), third went to Skyler Howes (+5.04).
Frenchman Alexandre Giroud won the MTB discipline. Second place went to Argentinian Francisco Moreno Flores, third to American Pablo Copetti.
Crew under control Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota Gazoo Racing) took first place in the off-road category. Second was Bahrain Raid Xtreme’s Sebastian Loeb (Prodrive), third was Brazilian Overdrive Racing’s representative Lucas Moraes.
Eric Gochal of Poland won the ATV category, followed by Lithuanian Rokas Batsushka and Marek Gochal in third (all representing BRP Can-Am).
Dutchman Janus van Kasteren on Iveco was first in the truck standings, second was Czech Martin Macik Jr. from MM Technology, third was Martin van den Brink (Netherlands) from Iveco.
