Viktor Sokolov, first deputy project manager of the Silk Way International Rally, told about the difficulties encountered by the organizers of the competition when preparing the route for the Snow Trail international rally-raid by snowmobile.
For the first time in its history, the Snow Trail will take place from February 23 to 25, 2023 in Naberezhnye Chelny.
— The layout of the sporting course of the race was a challenge for the experienced team of the Silk Way International Rally. When designing the track, we tried to combine the love of speed and orientation skills with the solution of complex navigation tasks with “traps” prepared by the organizer. To make the course difficult and at the same time safe for all participants, whether professional or amateur, we have achieved an average speed on the course of no more than 30-40 km/h.
The route will delight all participants in the Snow Trail rally raid. In a comfortable mode for runners, it will be possible not only to compete for a place on the podium, but also to enjoy the colorful landscapes of the Republic of Tatarstan,” Sokolov told .
Race participants will compete in five classes: Enduro, PRO turbo+, PRO+, PRO turbo, PRO. In total, the riders will cover more than 300 kilometers of sections at high speed.
