Rider Ilya Shcheglov became the first winner of the international rally-raid on snowmobiles “Snow Path” of the “Silk Way” series.
The Snow Trail rally ended on February 25 in Naberezhnye Chelny.
Shcheglov showed the fastest time based on three days of racing and took first place overall, winning 500,000 rubles. The second race was completed by Timur Sharafiev (400,000), losing more than a minute and a half. The third position is occupied by Alexey Popov (300,000). Among the top five were also Vladislav Leonov (200,000) and Anton Kuklin (100,000).
– To be honest, I didn’t even plan to win, I didn’t even plan to finish. This victory is above all the merit of Nail Khubbatullin. Lots of adventure! There was everything that could happen – I even ended up on a wing. Everything is so unexpected, the emotions run wild, the sensations unforgettable, ”said the press service of the competition quoting Shcheglov.
A total of 57 participants from seven countries took part in the race.
