“Mazepin will have the opportunity to participate in all racing series, if we talk about the EU” – lawyer

Russian racing driver Nikita Mazepin will have the opportunity to participate in all racing series, if we are talking about the European Union, but he will have to follow the restrictions of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), said sports lawyer Anna Anceliovich.

The court on Thursday ruled that Mazepin had the right to enter the EU to negotiate and make deals with a racing team or with sponsors not associated with his father, Dmitry Mazepin, “as a main driver or reserve of Formula 1 or another organized series”. by under the auspices of the FIA, to participate in races, sponsorships and promotions at the request of its racing team or its sponsors, as well as to participate in championships, Grands Prix, races, training, tests in EU member states.

– From now on, Mazepin will have the opportunity to participate in all racing series, if we talk about the European Union. The only thing is that he will have to follow the restrictions of the FIA, for example, to act in a neutral status – without a flag or an anthem. At the same time, Nikita will have to sign a document on his distancing from the NWO. In this case, the International Automobile Federation is obliged to comply with the court ruling, as all sports federations are registered in Switzerland and must comply with the requirements of the local authorities. Mazepin could well have contested series on other continents, but since a lawsuit was filed, that meant the focus was on European competitions, including Formula 1,” Anceliovich told RT.

Mazepin was subject to European sanctions a year ago. He was a driver for the Haas team in the 2021 season and finished 21st in the final standings. In March 2022, it was announced that the team would end their partnership with him.

This season, Mazepin is taking part in the Asian Le Mans Series.
