Leclerc retired due to engine problems
IN Bahrain passed the first Formula 1 Grand Prix season-2023. The reigning world champion became the winner of the race at the Sakhir Circuit Max Verstappen from Red Bull starting from pole position.
Another Red Bull pilot finished second – Sergio Perez. The third was Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin). The legendary Spaniard near the end of the race in the fight for third place ahead of Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz.
Sainz eventually finished fourth. Carlos’ team-mate Charles Leclerc retired on lap 41 with engine problems.
Also finishing in the top 10 were Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), George Russell (Mercedes), Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo), Pierre Gasly (Alpin) and Alexander Albon (Williams).
The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held in Saudi Arabia on March 19.
