Spanish Honda factory rider Joan Mir will miss the Argentine Grand Prix due to injuries sustained in Saturday’s sprint.
According to the team’s press service, after an early morning medical examination, Mir was declared unfit to compete by medical staff due to a skull and neck injury. Cervical physiological lordosis has been confirmed, the rider experiences nausea and dizziness.
Another team rider, six-time world champion Marc Marquez, missed the stage due to a broken first metacarpal in his hand, suffered in an accident during the previous MotoGP stage. Thus, Honda will not participate in the race of the Grand Prix of Argentina in force on Sunday, the start will be given at 8:00 p.m. (Moscow time).
Also missing are Paul Espargaro (GasGas), Enea Bastianini (Ducati) and Miguel Oliveira (RNF Aprilia), also injured in collisions the previous week.
