Racer Karjakin aims to win Silk Way rally-raid in 2023

Russian racer and leader of the SNAG Racing team Sergei Karyakin in an interview with , he announced his participation in the Silk Way 2023 rally raid and his desire to win the all-terrain vehicle classification.

The Silk Road will run from July 7 to July 15 on the Kazan-Moscow route. The total distance of the race will be 5,230 kilometers, including 2,350 kilometers of high-speed special stages.

Are you going on the Silk Road?

I hope there will be three cars. I will be piloting one of them, the names of the other pilots are a surprise. I will aim for the result, I want to win the race in my classification. I think the car will be the same, it has a low mileage, we will only do one bulkhead. I don’t know if there will be sponsors or not. Let’s see.

“Is there any hope that one day you will travel from Moscow to the Far East?”

– I would like. I do not understand the course 2023 at all. Conditionally from Kazan to Moscow there will be a very dense civilization. Except that in the fields one kilometer straight, one kilometer left, one kilometer straight, one kilometer right. Maybe the organizers have prepared some kind of surprise for us. God forbid that in the end everything was fine, – said Karyakin in an interview with .

Karjakin has won the Silk Road three times and he also won the Dakar Rally marathon in the mountain bike category.
